Behavioral health services

Comprehensive behavioral health services

We offer integrated behavioral health care: psychiatric medication management, psychotherapy, couples and family work, and specialty programs. Care is available in person and through secure telehealth, where clinically appropriate.

01

Telehealth

Secure video appointments are available for eligible adults across Texas, delivered on a platform that meets HIPAA standards and does not require patients to download specialized software. Telehealth at this practice is not a reduced version of in-person care — the same clinical rigor, appointment length, and documentation standards apply. Patients in areas of Texas with limited local specialty access, or those whose schedules make in-office visits difficult, often find this the most sustainable format for ongoing care.

Where clinically appropriate, both psychiatric care and psychotherapy are available through HIPAA-compliant telehealth. The same clinicians, the same care — delivered to wherever you can find a quiet, private space within your state of residence.

  • Telepsychiatry medication management
  • Teletherapy for psychotherapy and couples care
  • Secure, HIPAA-compliant platform
  • Equal-fee, in-network billing where your plan permits

Psychiatry & Medication Management

Psychiatric care at Allied Health & Wellness begins with a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation that takes the full clinical picture into account, including psychiatric history, medical context, and any concurrent psychotherapy. Medication management appointments are substantive rather than perfunctory, with adequate time allotted to assess response, tolerability, and any emerging clinical questions. Psychiatrists here work within the practice's integrated model, maintaining active communication with the psychotherapy side of care.

Our psychiatric care is delivered by physicians who completed an MD or DO, a four-year residency in psychiatry, and who hold board certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Visits are scheduled at the frequency your care requires.

  • Diagnostic psychiatric evaluation
  • Ongoing psychiatric medication management
  • Coordination with primary care & specialty providers
  • Care for mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, trauma, perinatal mental health, and major life transitions
  • Telehealth or in-person at your preference

Specialty Care

Beyond general psychiatry and therapy, Allied Health & Wellness offers structured programming around specific clinical presentations that benefit from focused, protocol-informed care. Specialty services draw on condition-specific evidence bases and are delivered by clinicians with relevant training in those areas. The integrated practice model ensures that adults in specialty programs have access to both medication management and psychotherapy within the same clinical ecosystem.

Some conditions benefit from a clinician with focused training. Our specialty programs are organized around the diagnostic categories that present most often in adult outpatient behavioral health, staffed by clinicians with additional training in each area.

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Mood disorders
  • OCD
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Workplace burnout
  • Life transitions
  • Chronic medical conditions co-occurring with mental health

Psychotherapy

Individual therapy at this practice is modality-informed and diagnostically grounded — meaning the therapeutic approach is matched to the presenting condition and the clinical evidence supporting that approach, not applied uniformly across every patient. Licensed clinicians draw from cognitive-behavioral, acceptance-based, and other empirically supported frameworks. Sessions are structured to make progress measurable over time rather than open-ended by default.

Our therapists are independently licensed (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LPC, PsyD, or PhD) and matched to your care based on your goals and the modalities best suited to them. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or biweekly to start.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills
  • Psychodynamic and supportive psychotherapy
  • Trauma-focused care
  • Perinatal and postpartum-specific therapy

Couples & Family Care

Relational and family work at Allied Health & Wellness is conducted by clinicians with specific training in systemic and evidence-based couples modalities. Sessions examine the patterns, communication structures, and relational dynamics that sustain conflict or disconnection, rather than simply providing a space for grievances to be aired. When individual psychiatric or therapy needs emerge in the course of couples work, the practice's integrated structure means those needs can be addressed without requiring a separate referral outside the practice.

Relationships are part of behavioral health. Our couples and family clinicians are trained in evidence-based systemic and relational modalities, and care is delivered with the same evidence base as our individual treatment.

  • Couples therapy (Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman Method-informed)
  • Family therapy for adults and adult-child family units
  • Parent guidance for adults navigating parenting under stress

Care begins with a conversation.

Most new patients are scheduled within 7–10 business days.
